We can't decide the difference, or which one we prefer!

Dressing !! (Stuffing) Would you rather have stuffing or dressing on Thanksgiving? Well, my difference is that stuffing is usually fairly solid and is either 'stuffed' into meat or baked alongside it. A dressing however is usually more liquid There is unfortunately the idea in the US that stuffing and dressing are essentially the same.

Ingrédients de Dressing !! (Stuffing):

  1. 3 boxes Jiffy Cornbread.
  2. 10 pieces white bread, crumbled.
  3. 1 1/2 cup chopped celery.
  4. 1 cup chopped onions.
  5. 1/2 cup butter, softened.
  6. 10 3/4 oz Campbells cream of chicken soup.
  7. 4 1/2 cup chicken broth.
  8. 3 eggs beaten.
  9. 3 eggs boiled.
  10. 1 tbsp salt.
  11. 1 tbsp thyme.
  12. 1 tbsp sage.
  13. 1 tbsp black pepper.

Maybe that is the case over there but it certainly isn't. This year, the stuffing/dressing argument began early! Like Netty said, inside the bird it's stuffing, outside the bird it's dressing.same thing just two different names. This easy stuffing recipe, or dressing if you prefer, will be a staple on your Thanksgiving dinner menu for years to come.

  1. Cook three boxes of Cornbread. (Follow directions on box.).
  2. While cornbread is cooking, boil chopped onions and celery until tender..
  3. Boil three eggs, peel and chop..
  4. Once the cornbread is cooked, crumble cornbread and also crumble about 10 slices of uncooked white bread into large bowl..
  5. Combine cornbread, bread, cooked vegetables, the chopped boiled eggs, three beaten eggs, butter, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, salt, thyme, black pepper & sage in large bowl. Mix well..
  6. Grease pan (i love bakers joy cooking spray) & spoon everything inside..
  7. Cook at 400°F for 30 mins to an hour... until desired texture..

Tearing the bread will create more texture than cutting it into neat cubes. And make sure the bread really is dry—it soaks in the broth much better. I have made this stuffing for many years and have never measured anything I like to work according to taste.
