Toss the cooked pasta directly in the pan to meld with the mushroom sauce. What kind of cream to use for mushroom pasta sauce. I love creme fraiche for baking and cooking, especially in this recipe. Once it's heated through, pour the mushroom mixture over the pasta and stir to combine.

- In a large, deep skillet sautee chopped garlic in olive oil, with a pinch of salt.
- When garlic starts to get golden, add almond slivers and sautee till toasted.
- Add sliced mushrooms, sautee until softened.
- Add a generous splash of white wine or vermouth - whatever is handy.
- Stir until flavors are blended.
- Add package of sweet cream, mix either other ingredients and lower heat..
- Once mixture becomes a nice light brown and starts to bubble, add parmesan and stir well.
- Add the lemon juice and continue stirring as mixture thickens.
- When mixture has thickened and is bubbling gently, add in pasta and fold thoroughly so that pasta is enveloped in sauce.
- Cover and let cook on low for 2-5 min, stirring occasionally.
- Serve right away.
