Once you try it you will never want pre made store potato salad again. I love using baby potatos because I don't need to peel them. Their skin is thin and delicate tasting.

Sharon's Potato Salad When possible make mom's potato salad the day before you plan to serve it. Combine cooled potatoes, eggs, onion, celery, pickles, and bacon. This is a great twist on two all-American favorites--the potato salad and the loaded baked potato.

  1. 3 lb bag of small red potatoes.
  2. 7 eggs.
  3. Sweet relish.
  4. Miracle whip.
  5. Sandwich spread.
  6. Mustard.
  7. Paprika (optional).

Served cold, this has been a crowd-pleaser at our many family functions and is often requested. About GRANDMA SHARON'S BAKED POTATO SALAD. I'm glad you like the potato salad, Sharon. I have always used sweet pickle relish in my potato salad, and used mustard instead of dill.

Comment cuisiner Sharon's Potato Salad:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 4 sections. Rinse potatoes and put in a pot of water; boil until tender.
  2. Boil eggs to your liking (mine were hard boiled) place eggs in cold water and set aside.
  3. When potatoes are tender drain and place in bowl; set aside.
  4. Peel eggs. Dice 5 eggs and add them to the potatoes; set the other 2 to the side.
  5. Add a cup of relish, cup of miracle whip, cup of sandwich spread, and 2 tbsp of mustard.
  6. Continue adding above ingredients WHILE TASTING until you get to your desired flavor and consistency.
  7. Once it is perfect to you slice the remaining 2 eggs and place them on top of the potato salad. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  8. Place a lid over it and put in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  9. ENJOY!!.

But adding the bacon would be a wonderful addition. Can't wait to try this new twist. Then set aside to marinate while you prepare the other ingredients. I've never really liked potato salad. A comfort food, soul food, southern food lover.
