Ingrédients de Sweet Rose:

  1. 2 cups flour (maida).
  2. 4 tsp oil.
  3. 1 pinch baking powder.
  4. 1 pinch salt.
  5. 1 pinch red food colour.
  6. 1 cup sugar.
  7. 1 cup water.
  8. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.
  9. Oil for deep frying.

Comment cuisiner Sweet Rose:

  1. In a deep pan bring water and sugar to a boil over medium heat. Turn the heat to low and stir continuously until sugar dissolves completely and the syrup is clear with a sticky consistency. Add cardamom powder and turn off the heat..
  2. In a large bowl take maida. Add in 4 tsp oil, salt, baking powder and food colour. Mix thoroughly and knead it to make a smooth dough by adding water as needed. Cover and keep it aside for 30 minutes..
  3. Make small balls of the dough and roll them into small and thin puris of equal size..
  4. Take 3 puris and put all on one another on a board. Make 3 slits leaving 1/2 inch space from the centre towards the edge (as shown in pic). Now lift a single slit (petal) and stick around the centre. Then lift the slit from other two sides and stick around the first petal. Repeat the process till end or the rose is formed. Make all the roses in the same way..
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry all the roses on a medium heat..
  6. Dip the roses in pre-prepared warm sugar syrup for 10 minutes..
  7. Now the yummy, delicious and beautiful sweet rose is ready for being served..
